Pustak Pitara respects your privacy. Here’s what information we collect, how we use it and how we keep it safe.

01Information we collect
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, city and delivery address.
- Limited child details: your child’s age or age group, only to recommend suitable toys and activities.
- Booking information: services requested, dates and preferences.
- Basic website data needed to run the site securely, such as session cookies. We don’t take online payments, so we never collect card or UPI details.
02How we use your information
- To process rentals, events, workshops and enquiries.
- To contact you about confirmations, reminders and schedule changes.
- To recommend toys, books and activities that suit your child.
- To share important safety, hygiene and policy updates.
- To send offers only where you have agreed, with an easy way to opt out.
03Cookies
- We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms from misuse and remember your play bag.
- You can block or clear cookies in your browser, but parts of the site may not work without them.
04Sharing
- We never sell your personal information.
- We share information only with service providers who help us operate (for example, communication tools), or with authorities where the law requires.
05Security
- We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and protected staff access. No online system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
06How long we keep data
- We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal and tax obligations and resolve disputes, then delete or anonymise it where feasible.
07Your rights
- You can ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it, subject to legal and tax obligations.
- Where we rely on your consent (for example WhatsApp updates or offers), you can withdraw it at any time as easily as you gave it: untick the option in your account, reply STOP, or write to us. Withdrawing doesn’t affect anything done before.
- You can nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to.
- Send any request or complaint to our Grievance Officer, Pustak Pitara customer care, at info@pustakpitara.com or +91 99756 66558. We acknowledge within 48 hours and respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
08Children’s data
- Our services are used by adults—parents, guardians, schools and organisations—on behalf of children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
- When you share a child’s age, name or photograph (for example for a personalised magnet or an event), you confirm that you are the child’s parent or lawful guardian and consent to us using it only for that purpose.
- We don’t track children’s behaviour or show them targeted advertising.
